Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
PONCHO'S ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN WAIVED

This friendly/shy kitty was dumped at outside the shelter in a carrier with the name Poncho on it. He has a long/tall body frame, and is loving and affectionate for the most part. He was adopted to a home but was returned for biting his new owner multiple times. It could be that Poncho needs more stimulation, like longer and more frequent play time. He may also benefit from being an inside/outside cat after proper acclimation. Or, he may just be a hot and cold kitty. Due to his prior bite history, we are recommending a cat-savvy household for this kitty (no kids), who will take the time to figure out what will make him less moody.

**WALK IN SHELTER TO ADOPT Tuesday Noon-5pm, Wednesday 12-6pm, Thursday-Sunday Noon-5pm (Closed Mondays and Holidays). All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet & greet process, please bring a hard copy of a completed adoption application found here https://animalcare.saccounty.gov/Documents/AdoptionApp_Cats.pdf and provide Animal ID numbers of the kitties you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you too!
