Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Being big in stature doesn’t always mean you’re brave. At about 75 pounds, Sakari is a bit of a big baby who doesn’t quite know what to make of life in the shelter. That leash thing in particular is pretty scary!! But Sakari has been working hard to trust her volunteer friends and has made huge strides during her time in the shelter. She’s gaining confidence and showing her sweet personality bit by bit- she loves to do a drive by snuggle or smooch in the play yard, then continue on her way, sniffing and exploring all the good things. This lady will thrive in a home where she can take things slowly and where she’ll be given time to open up to her future family.

Sakari has shared her kennel with a couple of different furry friends and has done well with other dogs in playgroup, with staff describing her as a good girl. She may benefit from having a calm, confident doggy friend to show her the ropes in a home environment. If you can help a shy sweetheart come into her own, please ask to meet Sakari today!
