Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
What do you get when you mix a lowrider with a classic pibble? Cashnis! This old man is the most adorable mish mash of spare parts you’ve ever seen!! Short little leggies? Check! Big old pibble noggin that’s perfect for petting? Check! Add in a distinguished frosty face and a calm, gentle demeanor, and it’s an irresistible combination!! Here’s what volunteers at the shelter have said about this special boy:

“How is this dog still here?!? Cashnis is so adorable and unique and would be such an easy companion for someone looking for a couch potato companion! This old man is just so sweet and easygoing. He certainly still has some pep in his step, but let’s be real- napping is his favorite pastime (I can relate). I just can’t say enough about this nice old man- someone will be so lucky to scoop him up!”

“Cashnis is a very sweet and social senior boy. He was a very good boy in the yard, enjoying lots of pets and attention. Very treat motivated - found my treat pouch quickly! Nice walker on leash and a mellow and laid back boy.”

“Cashnis was easy to get out and into a yard. He was very treat motivated- he loves treats! He also came up to me leaning against my legs asking for some petting. He seemed more interested in getting attention from people than exploring the yard. He was very cute and even climbed up on the bench for a little photo session. Very sweet old guy!”

“I met Cashnis today and sat in his kennel with him. He is well-behaved, sweet, and easygoing. Cashnis is very outgoing and immediately came right up to me and acted like we were best friends. He is very food motivated and will sample any treats you have - Cashnis quickly found out where my treat pocket was and kept trying to stick his big head into the pocket to help himself! Such a gentle, calm, sweet old man who would benefit from a home where he can enjoy the soft and easy retirement life he deserves.”

“This friendly boy is twice as sweet as he looks and he’s quickly become a volunteer and staff favorite. He adores human companionship and is well-behaved and so enjoyable to spend time with. He really, really, really loves snacks- I think he’d sell his own Grandma for a treat! Cashnis is one of those affectionate dogs who likes to lean into you no matter where you’re sitting or what you’re doing (which we love), and he’s definitely quite the goofball with his adorable looking duck feet. He’d love to find a semi-active home where he isn’t expected to do too much other than go for some leisurely walks, enjoy plenty of good food and snacks, and share some couch time with his human companion.”

Cashnis is so well- behaved that he actually lives in the lobby at the shelter where he can greet everyone who comes in. You can usually find him taking a siesta, but he’d love for you to stop and say hello. Cashnis arrived at PACC with another senior pup and they did great together, so he can likely go home with another mellow pup. Please ask about Cashnis today!!
