Are you looking for an adventure buddy? An energetic, optimistic copilot? A best pal who will stick by your side through thick and thin? Well guess what?? This boy is ready, willing and Able to fulfill all of those roles!! Get it… since his name is Able? Anyway…

Able is a young, bouncy guy who came to PACC as a stray. He’s friendly and definitely needs an active family to keep him busy. Able spent two weeks in a foster home where he was described as a very sweet and affectionate boy and basically a big old puppy who will thrive with structure and training. He loves treats, which will make training that much easier! During a second short foster stay Able was reportedly housebroken and crate trained.

Here’s what volunteers have had to say about Able:

“Able has become my go-to adventure partner. Always happy, eager, and ready for fun. He is a very intelligent dog with great engagement and soon remembers his manners if he becomes too excited. He loves to run but equally enjoys taking his time to explore his surroundings. He loves flushing birds out of the bushes, watching the ducks on the lake, investigating gopher holes (often with the digging), and taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells. He checks in regularly with good eye contact, has a solid sit, waits patiently for treats, and has a gentle mouth (affectionate, too!). Able is an intelligent, energetic, and affectionate young dog who needs a little polish on his manners. He is eager to please and treat motivated and will be a quick study under the guidance of a patient trainer. He would do best in an active household who can provide him with plenty of exercise and stimulation. A diamond in the rough!”

“I've really fallen for Able during his time at PACC. Super fun and active guy up for any adventure. He loves tennis balls. This sweet active guy needs some guidance and training but will reward you in spades with his loving and outgoing personality. He has gotten the hang of sit quickly and we continue working on other obedience training.”

“Able and I had a nice walk together this morning. Once outside, I offered him a squeaky toy, which he proudly carried for the first part of his walk. Able sat for a treat several times and was comfortable with my petting him.”

“Able is a friendly and playful pup. I took him to a play yard to run around, which he enjoyed. He's extremely food motivated and is laser focused when treats are around.”

“I walked Able and really liked him from the start. He’s definitely a rowdy puppy and will thrive with some structure and training, but he is eager to please and definitely loves human connection. Just a nice dog who I think will make a great hiking or jogging buddy.”

Able has been social, tolerant, playful, and easygoing overall when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He'd like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Able today!
