Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Mary Jane has a serious case of wiggle butt! Her little tail nub is always wagging at full speed. When you so much as look at her, the tail starts going. She is a silly, happy, and sassy girl that wants to be your cuddle buddy. When she gets excited she likes finding a toy to carry around. She is very affectionate and is always open to some pets. She still has some pep in her step but she’s easy to walk and does well on a leash. She gets very excited for walkies, but quickly settles down into a nicepace. She takes treats gently, and while she’s interested in what you have at the dinner table, doesn’t beg too much and is generally pretty polite.

In her old home, she lived with buddies Bruiser and Cesar. Despite being the smallest one, she’s a little bossy and wants to be “top dog” and likes to make sure they are following her rules! She may be okay with another dog aside from her two housemates with proper introduction, but if you want to adopt all three house hippos together, they would think that was really awesome. Bruiser and Cesar are even lower energy than her, so even though they are a little bigger than her they are just as easy or easier to walk. All three are sweet senior dogs just looking for a soft place to sleep, some toys, and lots of love.
