Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Virgil is a very handsome, friendly gentleman who has been in and out of the shelter since 2022. It’s high time that this sweet boy finally finds his forever home! Virgil went by the name Scrabble previously, so if you fancy yourself a wordsmith and love puzzles, he may just be the perfect pup for you!! And if you hate word games, that’s ok too- Virgil may still be your perfect match!

In a prior home, Virgil reportedly did well with another resident dog and older kiddos. He was housebroken and loved to be near his people as much as possible. Virgil’s most recent person described him as a low key kind of guy who enjoys walks and lots of naps. Here’s what one volunteer said about him:

“Virgil is a very friendly pup. He knows sit, paw and down. He loves to be petted and is eager to give kisses. He’s also easy to leash and walk.”

Virgil shares his kennel at the shelter and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. He’s looking for a home without livestock or cats. Please ask to meet Virgil today!!
