We're not really sure where the name Silco comes from or exactly what it means, but we can tell you who our Silco is! Silco is a handsome young pup who came to PACC as a stray after spending some time on Tucson's south side. With the temperatures rising at the time, he was more than happy to get out of the sun and into some good, old-fashioned AC.

Silco was with us at PACC for a while and really struggled in the shelter environment. We were thrilled when he was adopted and were excited for him to have a wonderful life in a home. Sadly, he’s returned to PACC as his adoptive home was not the right fit and Silco was found as stray numerous times. Silco is not happy to be back at PACC (can you blame him??) and desperately needs to find a new home. Our happy-go-lucky pal isn’t cut out for the stress of the overcrowded shelter and needs out ASAP!

Here' what a couple of Silco’s friends have had to say about him:

“Silco loves to play with squeaky toys and loves his human friends. He has great engagement, and loves playing "tuggy" with his human partner. He is a real adventure dog: loves water, loves running (steady cadence, straight track), loves treats (has a good sit), and loves affection. Unfortunately, the shelter is not the best environment for Silco to fully express his "joie de vivre". If you are an active person in search of adventure, Silco might be just the right companion for you.”

“I have walked Silco regularly since he first arrived and am very fond of this boy. I fell in love with him immediately. He loves physical attention and with the right routine, is easy to leash and walk.”

“Silco and I went on an early morning walk yesterday. I gave him a large brand new squeaky toy to carry and we were off. Silco kept the toy in his mouth the whole time except for dropping it a couple of times. We had a good day.”

Silco is an exceptionally beautiful pup- a sweet volunteer favorite who just doesn’t do well in the shelter. He'd love to get a real shot at domesticated life and will thrive with training and routine in his future home. He needs a secure yard and a family committed to keeping him safe and sound at home. When meeting other dogs in play group, Silco was tolerant but a bit uneasy, so would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. He also loves playing in the water! Please ask to meet Silco today!
