Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Wynona came to us in September and has been such a pleasure to have at the Ranch. This 26-year-old Quarter Horse is calm, quiet, and loves attention. Her pretty face and kind demeanor have made her a favorite amongst our staff and volunteers.

Upon evaluation, our trainer found that Wynona has age-appropriate arthritis, which caused her discomfort while being worked and ridden. Our vets suggested a daily dose of Equioxx, which has been a tremendous benefit to her comfort levels. If Wynona's adopter plans to ride her, she will need to continue this daily medication. However, if Wynona is adopted as a pasture buddy, we believe her comfort levels will be fine without the Equioxx. Because of her age and health, Wynona will do best with an adopter who wants her for light to moderate riding. She is thoughtful under saddle and responsive to leg and rein aids. She has not been spooky or reactive while being ridden. She would be a good horse for an intermediate rider.

Wynona has great ground manners and is such a delight to work with here at Longmeadow. This easy keeper will make a great horse for a special person. If you think Wynona is the horse for you, read through our adoption requirements and follow the steps to apply online!
