Onny is a sweet, shy and sensitive guy who knows alot about manners and is very solid with dog friends and a great dog play friend. His body conditition is also very good, fit and his coat is shiny. He walks very nicely, at ease with his human friends and is friendly toward dogs he passes. He's shared his large kennel with several other dogs now and he's a solid play for doggy groups. What's his backstory? We met Onny long about 7 years ago during a brief stay. At that time, he was a young pup and lived with dogs and children. We don't know much about his life after that. He arrived back here during a cold weather spell after being left tethered outside--that's tough and it dampered his spirit and he lost a bond that seemed to really matter to him. We've helped him retrieve his spirit. Onny appreciates when people take things a little slower with him, in non-scary ways. His life has been tossed upside down and he hasn't landed a home yet but with your help he will. He's advocated for by his friends and fans including ClassicCaninesATX who are building bridges to homes for mature dogs that landed in the shelter due to life's hardships. Don't delay another day when a life is hanging in the balance. |
