Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
According to Chinese folklore, if you rub the Buddha’s belly, you will have wealth, good luck, and prosperity. We don’t know if rubbing Buddha’s tummy will have the same effect, but it will probably make him pretty happy! Buddha was originally found as a stray and was kept for a time by his finder. Eventually he ended up at PACC, left, and is sadly back once again. We’ve found him to be a friendly, wiggly, happy pittiepotamus of a boy. Buddha is a mellow, middle- aged guy who loves affection and snuggles from his people friends. He’s a big old house hippo who just needs a house to hippo in! Buddha shares his kennel at the shelter with another PACC pup and was social, playful, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Come meet Buddha today- even if giving him a tummy rub doesn’t bring you luck, you’ll still be lucky to have him in your life! Buddha is considered hospice as he has multi masses that will not be able to be removed. He can still find his furever home through adoptions.
