Everest was a part of a rescue that consisted of pigs, a goat, and several other horses. When she first arrived, she was significantly underweight. Everest was depressed and her eyes contained a sense of lackluster. Through several months of rehabilitation and a strict refeeding program, Everest has transformed into a new horse. Her once dull and lazy days has turned into a thing of the past!
This bright and energetic mare has shown us that she is quite the spritely horse. She has gained over 100 pounds since her arrival. Unfortunately while she was in the training we discovered an old ligament injury that adhered to a tendon. Because of her injury we are looking for a pasture companion type of home for her. She can't be ridden due to her injury.
She can be an anxious mare and requires a patient handler and lots of trust building. With experienced and consistent handling, we are confident Everest will make a very enjoyable companion.
