Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Hey there! My name is Be. Not Bee, or Bea, just plain ole Be. I've been here at the shelter a little while without a whole lot of interest from potential adopters. I don't know why that is because I am a super sweet, well-behaved girl. I mostly get along well with other dogs, but lately have been a little cranky and have shown the staff here that I need some alone time. When I am out on walks with my volunteers and I see other dogs, I am mellow and engage appropriately, so it is likely that with a slow and proper introduction, I will be able to live with another dog.
I love to play with the ball and run around outside. I really enjoy treats and my volunteers say I am a good girl because I take them very gently. I am an expert at "sit" and because I enjoy treats so much, I will learn my other commands quickly. If you have treats, I have tricks!
Please remember that the shelter is a stressful environment; many dogs come to Front Street as strays without any known history. While staff and volunteers do their best to learn about each dog, behavior in the shelter is not always the same as behavior in a home. Keeping the 3/3/3 Decompression Rule in mind is important. Three days for initial decompression, three weeks to learn the routines of your household, and three months to start to feel relaxed and safe in the home. When you adopt, foster, or are a new pet parent, it's especially important to consider.

3/29-summary of handler notesSWEET girl, pulls a little but easy to redirect, no reactivity to other dogs even yippy dog, jumps on bench to cuddle with you, loves to cuddle and give kisses, knows sit well, loves treats and takes them gently
