My name is Shorty and I am a spayed female, black and white Pit Bull Terrier mix.

The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old.

THIS ANIMAL IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!

We are open 7 days a week from 12 pm – 5 pm for walk-in adoptions.

When you decide which animal you want to meet, join our virtual waitlist (follow instructions on the sign in front of the shelter to join using your phone).

If you don't have a smartphone, a staff member can put you on the waitlist after we open.

I have been at the shelter since Apr 26, 2024.

Yo I'm Shorty!
And I'm looking for someone who I can be their shorty! Seriously though, I've been here a while and want a family to go home with. My dog walker here says I do better on a harness since I do not seem to care for treats to motivate me. I'm an easygoing gal though I am alert to my environment and smell everything just to make sure it's there. It's been mentioned I do well with positive reinforcement, and I may do better in an environment without kids because I'm just a little nervous. If you're OK with that and want a cool dog to hang out with, please come stop by and meet me!
