Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Eli was originally came into Longmeadow in October 2011. He was adopted out quickly and returned in the Fall of 2016. His adopter had challenges keeping him contained in electric tape fencing. We haven't had any issues keeping him contained in the fencing at the ranch but we have either board, pipe or welded wire fencing. He has been a nervous horse since coming back. He is trained for riding but wasn't ridden in the last 5 years at his adoptive home. We are going to restart him, beginning with desensitizing. At this time he is only appropriate for a professional trainer but we hope he will come around quickly to his previous sweet and calm ways.

Height: 14.2 1/2 HH
Max carrying weight (includes rider and tack): 216.4 lbs.

Adoption fee: $500
