Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Meet Logan! This handsome, active young Rottweiler mix came to the Shelter as a stray so we don't know anything about his history... We know he loves attention and is still learning to contain his excitement when he gets it - from people OR from dogs! Like a lot of young dogs who haven't had much training, he sometimes jumps up on people to get TLC. Our volunteers are working with him to learn to sit nicely by people’s feet, but darn it, he just likes everyone SO MUCH!! Logan’s ideal adopter(s) will provide plenty of daily mental and physical stimulation in the form of positive reinforcement based training, playing fetch with tennis balls, and going for adventures out in the world. Logan's met dogs at the Shelter and just like with people, he gets so overwhelmed with excitement that he can be a bit rude and clueless! He doesn't seem to have a lot of history interacting with dogs and therefore makes a bit of a fool of himself, is still learning how dogs say "hey, that's enough!" and may get corrected by other, more socially-savvy dogs until he gets the message. A home with another dog savvy large breed dog may be a fit, but he'll likely need a bit of management while he develops his social skills. Logan may be just as happy as the only dog in a home, as long as he gets good exercise and training. We don't know how Logan would be living with kids, cats, or small animals, but he's still quite young and capable of learning - even if he's a bit slow on the uptake...

Through April 30th – all dogs over 40 lbs have a ˝ off adoption fee! Big dogs have lots of love to share so consider adding one to your family today!
