Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
This sweet face belongs to Nova... and sadly Nova no longer belongs to anyone. You see, her owner passed away almost a year ago and since that time, she has been moved from friend to friend, all trying to care for her, but none have really been in the position to do so. So, now she is here and we are going to help her find her forever. This beautiful 1 year 3 month old black Staffordshire mix is known to be friendly with both children and other dogs, and you know we ALWAYS recommend meet and greets with both, prior to adoption. She needs consistency and training (refreshers) on being housebroken. It is undetermined if she was crate trained before, as the friends found that she didn't seem to be with them. We have to remember that she did experience a major loss and then a lot of changes as a result of and in addition to that loss, to all of which she is still trying to adjust. And now add to that that she is here with us for yet another unexpected and strange change in her life. She just needs that family who is going to be patient, consistent in working with her and not give up on her. We know they are out there and we know they will find one another! If you think you can provide this loving and beautiful 53.40 pound girl a forever home, please come and meet her in person!
