Buckbeak is a Male golden pheasant. He is a little over 1 year old. Anyone wishing to adopt her must be permitted by the State Dept of Fish and Wildlife for owning golden pheasants. Existing permits may be ammended but if you have any questions, please follow up with the Dept of Fish and Wildlife. She has been tested and found negative for Pullorum and Avian Influenza and has been banded by the Dept of Agriculture. Buckbeak is able to fly and should be penned in an area that can contain her comfortably.

Buckbeak is up for adoption at the ARL Dedham, where the hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday from 1pm to 6:30pm. Please call or email if you have any questions at 781-326-0729 or
