MEET BOWZER -

How cute is Bowzer's face? Besides being adorable, Bowzer has a curious and playful personality that is sure to delight! Bowzer is a bit nervous here at the shelter but can't help himself from coming out to meet you if you stop by to visit. He loves a good sniff of catnip and company while he munches on his kibble. Bowzer loves to lounge on top of his perch and take a well-deserved snooze.

Here's more information:
Age: 2 year-old neutered male
Reason at shelter: Found as a stray in Brockton
Compatibility: Unknown
Likes: Chin scratches, petting on his back, feather wand toy

Please note that Bowzer has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). While some cats with FIV can lead normal lives without developing significant symptoms related to FIV, many cats experience symptoms as a result of their compromised immune system. However, if managed appropriately, many FIV positive cats can experience a normal, comfortable life span. When considering Bowzer's adoption, please note that he will require more frequent routine veterinary exams. Also, due to the route of transmission of FIV, keeping Bowzer as an indoor cat is encouraged. Bowzer may go to a home with another cat, but there is a risk that he may transmit FIV to your cat. A discussion with your regular veterinarian is encouraged before bringing Bowzer home to help ensure that he is the right fit for your home.
