|PATRICK* - ID#A234193|
Staff named me Patrick* and I am a neutered male, gray tabby Domestic Shorthair.
The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old.
I have been at the shelter since Feb 23, 2017.
This information is less than 1 hour old.
Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Patrick is a calm, quiet fellow with a gentle soul. He was trapped by a good samaritan and brought to the shelter because they were worried about him living on the streets. He was previously neutered and has a "tipped" right ear (to signify that he is neutered), but whoever neutered him failed to implant a microchip. No one ever came looking for him so he is trying to find a new owner, one that will be his FUREVER!
He can be timid at times, but is generally people oriented and affectionate. He is a lazy, lap cat with plenty of love to give. Patrick tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), a disease of cats, commonly transmitted through bites and is similar to human HIV/AIDS. There is no cure for FIV. He may have a full and healthy life, but the adopter is advised to consult with their veterinarian for further information. We have included additional information on FIV in the Medical Record for this cat. Patrick should be an indoor only cat to reduce transmission to other cats. To enrich his life as a strictly indoor cat, he will need plenty of toys, scratchers and windowsills for bird watching to keep him occupied. He is such a sweetheart and is sure to wiggle his way into your heart and quite possibly onto your lap as well. ;)
