?? Hi there! I'm Lila Rose and here’s my story! I'm around 2-years + 8-months-old, and a solid 49lbs of pure love. I would say I’m pretty well behaved and mature for my age. I'm a big fan of outdoor adventures like walks and hikes, and I walk nicely on a leash, but also, snuggling up or sitting right on the feet of my human, while getting some pets is just as pawsome. My favorite thing? Spending time with my humans! I’m incredibly loyal and ready to stand by your side through thick and thin. I’m smart, focused, and in-tune with what’s going on around me. Plus, I'm a real pro at posing for the camera. Treats? Count me in! I'll sit, wait, shake—whatever you need for a snack! I’m a great listener and I know to “come” when called. Stuffed toys are my jam, they're just so much fun to play with. I also like to play fetch! AND, here’s a big plus: I keep my kennel clean indicating that I am already house trained. :)
Fun Fact: (Well, not exactly fun): I’m one of the longest residents here at the shelter! My kennel card might say that I’ve been here since March, but I've actually been hanging around since September, 2023.…You see, I had a brief 2 day stay in a new home, but I was feeling a bit uneasy and didn't have much of an appetite, so I found my way back here, no fault of my own. Yup, I can be a tad nervous in new places. So, if you're thinking about bringing me home, I'd really appreciate some time to settle in, feel safe, and get to know each other! Let me get comfy, establish a routine, and I'll show you just how good and loving I am.
I can sometimes be a tad anxious around other furry friends too. I’ve done well when meeting other dogs through the fence at the shelter and walking on hikes with them, but overall, I think I would greatly benefit from a proper introduction and some patience to build trust and comfort first!
I'm already spayed, got my vaccines, microchipped, and I’m ready to find my forever family and settle into a cozy home. Please help me find a loving home! ?? Love, Lila Rose
