Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Mellow, loving, and oh-so-smart (and house trained!) five-year-old, medium-sized Poppy wants nothing more than a family of her own to snuggle up with. While she hasn't been a big fan of other dogs at the shelter, Poppy does great with kids. She also enjoys car rides, walking nicely on leash, and cuddling up with her toys - unlike some of our teenage doggies, she doesn't even tear them up! Poppy is also an expert in Nose Work, an enrichment activity that allows dogs to de-stress, builds their confidence, and fosters a bond between dog and handler: she’s become a sniffing sensation! On a recent trip to the DeVargas Mall, Poppy was thrilled to meet and accept pets from people of all ages, from small children to seniors. In fact, one gentleman was so taken with Poppy, he let her try on his Veteran cap! Poppy’s volunteer escorts noted that she displayed great handler awarness (checking in when she felt unsure) and particularly enjoyed cuddle time in the park - she’s a born lap dog!

Poppy’s adoption fee is $50. She is spayed and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing/microchip fee may apply.
