Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
We've said this before, but it's the truth--it's amazing what a little TLC and good food can do. This cute little girl is Angelica and she showed up at BAS a little over 3 weeks ago as a stray. She was extremely thin, weighing a mere 29 lbs. She had very little strength or interest in anything, and mostly laid on her bed in her kennel. Fast forward to now and a whole new and much healthier girl has emerged! Angelica has gained almost 20 much needed pounds and looks so much better. More importantly, she has energy and enjoys playtime in our play area, running with toys and chasing balls. She seems to know 'sit' and 'shake', and is quite possibly housetrained. We know--she obviously belonged to someone. Now, all Angelica needs is a loving home where she will be never miss a meal, and will feel safe and secure. A fenced yard to chase balls would be great, too! If you'd like to be the one to help Angelica start a new chapter in life, come meet her at BAS.

Dog Day Out, 5/1/24:
We came to my house and met my dogs! Angelica did great with Pebbles and Razzle, so we got ready for a hike, because she was crazy and hyper. We went behind my house to the little trail/creek where we walked and played on the trail and in the water for a bit. Then came back to the house and laid down and watched some TV. Angelica played and de-stuffed some toys and had a good time. She met the cats and did fine with them. Gave them space once they told her to back off. She was food motivated and she is pretty clumsy and goofy! She’s a great dog!

Dog Day Out, 4/10/24:
On this adventure, Angelica joined a few client calls with me, since I work remotely and the weather wasn’t optimal for outdoor activity. We went on 3 walks to the neighborhood park, learned how to play fetch, and wrapped up the day with watching the Vampire Diaries. Angelica has great recall--she sits when asked (most of the time), lays down, and gives paw. She hasn't learned stay yet. She loves attention and sharing space, so she follows you around but she’s a sweet girl overall! She’s a cute snorer, too.

Dog Day Out, 4/6/24:
Angelica took a stroll through my neighborhood and visited the neighborhood park. She also enjoyed running up and down the stairs, as well as hanging out on the bed, couch, and playing with her toys. We also went for a walk at Cate’s Farm where we went for a jog, and enjoyed some treats! She whined a little during car rides, but nothing out of the norm—completely expected. She looked interested in other people but she didn’t interrupt anyone on their runs, she was thoughtful. Lastly, she briefly met 3 of my 5 cats and didn’t growl or exhibit any threatening behavior. We did isolate her from my cats just so she wouldn’t be nervous or anxious. Overall, she’s an excellent pup.
