Moon was in a foster home for a week with a volunteer and this is what we learned about this adorable boy:

I brought 5 month old Moon home for a one week foster since I had availability in my work schedule. Moon is one precious guy! I call him a super mutt and he’s super adorable! He’s a smart cookie and already knows sit and down! He’s crate trained, sleeps quietly in his crate all night, and potties outside with regular potty breaks. No accidents!

He loves treats and toys! He loves walks and walks nicely on his harness. He’s a social boy who wiggles and wants to meet every person he sees. Outside of play and walk time, Moon loves to curl up next to you on the couch and enjoy a puppy chew. He loves to put his paw on you to be in constant contact or to ask for more pets or scratches.

Moon is an amazing puppy. He is quiet in his pen while I work from home and we take breaks every 2-3 hours for potty and/or play. If he is in his pen and sees you, he will want to be with you, but with the door closed (his crate and pen were in a bedroom), he’s quiet and plays by himself or naps. His favorite things to occupy himself are a treat ball full of kibble (he pushes it around to get the kibble out) or frozen cubes of water and kibble (endless entertainment!).

He’s still a puppy and puppies can be mouthy, especially if over tired or under exercised, so we make sure he gets quiet time to nap in between all his play and walk time or give him time in his pen for solo play time if he’s too mouthy. He gets a little mouthy when getting his harness on or off but he’s learning the harness means fun walks! He’s so smart and he understands the word No and has a good sit. If he’s over excited and jumpy, I just ask for a sit and he is happy to show off for affection!

He’s the easiest puppy I’ve ever fostered! Like all puppies, he would benefit from continued training and positive experiences in the world! Will you be Moon’s foster or forever home??
