Last week SVPP Dog Day Out Notes:
Today I got to go on an adventure! I have been in the shelter since October so today was amazing! I eagerly jumped into the car, even before my friend was ready. I was ready to go! We walked along a trail and through a neighborhood and there were so many smells and things to see. It was a great day! My favorite part was all the puddles! I love puddles! Afterwards, my new friend got me a tasty
pup cup, delicious!

Three Words to Describe Me are: Petite! Curious! Affectionate!

Notes from My Walker:
Today was Shelly's first doggie day out since she arrived at the shelter in October. She was super eager to go and hopped into the car as soon as I opened the door! We went to the Los Alamitos Creek Trail and also wandered the nearby neighborhood. She loves to sniff everything and check
everything out. She does not pull, but does have tension on the leash. The trail was super busy with lots of foot traffic, runners, and bicyclists. Shelly passed them all politely! We also saw lots of dogs and Shelly did not bark. She does show interest and pulls a little towards them. As with any dog being
walked, I always shorten the leash to pass a strange dog and she was a good girl! I think the neighborhood walk portion was more enjoyable for her because she spent more time sniffing and walked with a looser leash. Shelly is an adorable petite girl with personality! When we stopped to grab some photos, she showed me her affectionate side and snuck in some kisses when I kneeled down
and asked her for a selfie. She made me laugh so hard because two things were super exciting for her - open car doors in the neighborhood (she thinks they're all an invitation to climb in!) and puddles!
She is so funny, she would get so excited about each puddle and need to go check it out. I wonder if she loves water? Shelly is petite for a shepherd, around 50lbs full grown. She is a smart girl that knows sit, down, and shake and is treat motivated. She is ready and eager for her forever home!
