Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Introducing Star, a German Shepherd with an undeniable passion for playing fetch! She excels as your trusty fetch companion, always eager to retrieve the ball and promptly drop it at your feet. Star would be a fantastic agility buddy as her agility knows no bounds; she can even effortlessly jump fences - so she’ll do best in an area with a high fence. Star is a social shepherd and regularly participates in playgroups. Star would love an active household with a consistent exercise routine.

Star's foster said:
* She's spayed, super sweet, and learns fast.
* 2.5 years old - puppy at heart, but very quiet, doesn't bark. She's housebroken.
* Loves playing fetch and enjoys car rides. Friendly with everyone.
* Silly cuddlebug, affection motivated.

SVPP Dog Day Out Notes:
Went on a 5 mile hike at Almaden Lake. I like to sniff and do better when the leash is loose, rather than a tight leash.
I am very scared of getting inside cars so I will need a very patient adopter who will help me with this.
On the walks, I’m very interested in wild life, and like to pull towards them, but I’m easy to redirect if the situation isn’t too overwhelming.
Very very scared of the car. Leaving the shelter, we could coax her to jump in but on the way back, it was not easy getting her back in. Whoever adopts or rescues her will need to work on this fear in a positive manner, and it will require a lot of patience.
