Reason animal needs rescue:
Owner surrender due to recurring constipation and urination issues

BAR-H. BCS 6/9, became slightly fractious after radiographs
Rads - large amount of heterogenous material throughout intestines, colon full
Constipation
Patient currently on lactulose, and high fiber diet (w/d or OM)

Reason animal needs rescue: recurrent and chronic constipation.

Patient examined 03/15/24 and given enema. No stool produce
P re-examined 03/18/24. BARH, EENT nsf. CP: nsf ABDO: large amount of very firm stool palpable. BCS 6/9
Rads - large colon diameter; colon contains large amount of fecal material
Patient anesthetized and given two enemas and manually emptied. Patient recovered well. Continued on rx diet and lactulose. P defecated on his own, large amount of formed soft stool within the following 48 hours. P currently in foster care on rx diet, lactulose, and Miralax.
