I’m Dante and despite my super cute, friendly appearance, I do have some red flags that staff will need to talk with you about if you are considering adopting me. I should go to an adult home only. I am not a first-time dog. I will need to go to a home that is semi quiet, with not a lot of people living there. I will need to be adopted to someone who has experience with resource guarding and can take the time to train me properly, with patience and love, but not let me get away with being a brat when I guard my bed and toys. I have bitten someone in the past for messing with my bed and putting me back in my crate/kennel and I want to be a better dog, but I need the right person to help me do it. A forever commitment, even if I slip up now and then.
Now that I got all of that off my fuzzy chest, you should know that when I trust you, I am the sweetest boy ever! I love to cuddle and give kisses and I really love long walks and greeting people who we meet along the way. I am still learning the potty-training thing and may have a few accidents inside, but if you put me on a schedule, I’m smart enough to learn it.
