If interested in fostering please email VBASfosterinfo@gmail.com.

Ruby was found as a stray here in Burbank. She is a lovable german shepherd mix who adores people and should do great with kids as long as they are respectful, however, in her excitement may knock down little ones. We recently added Ruby to our Dogs Playing for Life Playgroup and though she can be a little overwhelmed by high energy dogs quickly found herself to be a PLAYGROUP ROCKSTAR. A meet and greet is required if you already have dogs in the household. We are not sure about cats, potentially with a slow introduction she may learn to coexist with them. If there are cats in the household we highly reccommend a fostering to adopt so that Ruby can have a trial period with the felines in the home before her adopter fully commits to her.

Ruby was found as a stray so because of this we are not sure about what training she has recieved. Ruby can be overwhelmed by loud noises and needs work building her confidence, especially on a leash. We think it is safe to assume that Ruby will need potty training and obedience training, or at least a refresher. She is young and we believe she is fully open to learning how to be a polite family member as long as her adopter is willing to provide her these things that have been mentioned.
