Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
If Lola could talk, we wonder what stories she'd tell! Lola seems to have had quite a bout of bad luck before coming to us. An officer found her tied up and all alone outside of a 7/11 store. As soon as she arrived to the shelter, we saw that she was not in the best physical shape. It has been determined that she suffered a fracture on one of her legs a while ago and now has advanced arthritis. We have her on a joint care regimen and she is working on losing weight to relieve stress on those joints. Lola is still a very cheerful and sweet dog despite all she has been through. She loves to be near people and really enjoys going on short, leisurely walks. So far, Lola has found meeting other dogs either overwhelming or uninteresting. Any dogs in the home should come down and meet her. Cats might find her vocal and inquisitive nature to be too overwhelming. We strongly recommend for any cats in the home to have prior large dog experience. We recommend a home with older kids and/or adults.
