MAGPIE - ID#A109501

My name is MAGPIE.

I am a spayed female, brown and white dog that looks like a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix.

The shelter staff think I am about 10 years old. I weigh approximately 40 pounds.

I have been at the shelter since Mar 17, 2024.

Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Magpies are birds who are widely considered to be intelligent creatures.
Magpies are one of the few non-mammalian species able to recognize itself
in a mirror test!
Introducing OUR Magpie!
Is she similar to her feathered namesake? She has the intellect part, hands
down. This girl has seen a lot, and she knows a lot! (she's yet to be
mirror tested).
Besides being a smart girl, Magpie is a gentle soul. She's been around the
block a few times, and understands what life is about. She may have had it
rough, but those trying times have only made her kinder.
Magpie is fine on a leash. Like most dogs, kennel living isn't a favorite,
so any time outside is a treat for her! She warms up to humans cautiously,
but it doesn't take her long to wag her tail. Other dogs? Of course! The
gentle/dainty kind are her style, and she'd fit perfectly with dogs who
preferred a more relaxed atmosphere.
Magpie would fit in perfectly just about anywhere, and she'd like to fit
into your life today! Her biggest wish is to find a home of her own!
