My name is Oreo McFlurry. I have earned myself quite a reputation at the shelter for being top playgroup dog. I love being rough and rowdy with the energetic ones, but I also get along just as well with the gentle playgroup. The Humane Society has always felt that I would do best in a home where I can get lots of excess energy out, but it wasn’t until I got into my foster home that I was able to show my extensive array of good qualities. Aside from being a shelter staff favorite as well as a KWTX media star, I am showing my true colors as man’s best friend. Recently I came into a foster home with another pup, 4 kids, and a big yard. Not to brag, but my first night there I slept in a crate in the laundry room all by myself with zero fuss (only just a little extra coaxing to get me in because I would rather sleep next to you). I still love to run around and play, but surprisingly, I really love being a homebody and spending time with my people. Whether it is a 4 year-old or the head of the house, I will follow you anywhere as long as I can be at your side. I spend every waking moment at someone’s feet just looking for companionship and an occasional pet if you have a moment. I love to nap all day next to the computer but will be just as excited as any other dog when it comes time for a walk or running laps. I have always been worried at the shelter that people think I am too much energy, but it just isn’t the case. I mimic the energy of the room, and would do great being a study buddy, work from home companion, play buddy with kids and other dogs, or just about any type of companion you need as long as you could take me for a few walks a day if you do not have a yard. My current foster family loves me and want to see me in my perfect forever home. Please consider adopting me. I promise I will prove to be the most loyal friend you could ever ask for! |
