Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Say hello to the biggest sweetheart to walk this earth. Maggie is a young mixed breed. We have no idea what breed Maggie may be, but given her size, fur, & perky ears she may have some Australian Cattle Dog in her. Maggie has done very well with other animals. She currently lives with other dogs (& has met dogs of all sizes/ages); she also lives with a cat (she can be a little nosey with the cat but otherwise does well). She should do well in a home with other friendly animals but would also do just fine as the only pet so she could soak up all the love from the humans. While Maggie doesn't currently live with children, she may do okay in a home with older, calm teenagers who are gentle & loving like she is. Maggie is crate/house-trained, knows how to use a doggy door (but not required for adoption), walks like a lady on a leash, knows to SIT on command, is learning to lay DOWN on command, & knits socks for homeless kittens in her spare time. She is a relatively quiet dog who rarely barks. She is also pretty polite - she tends not to jump up on people & listens well. She is very food motivated & always wants to please the humans around her. Maggie does like to investigate food items you might leave within her reach (despite all her endless perfections, she is after all, still a dog!) - so keep an eye on that BBQ sandwich you set on your coffee table unless you want to share it with this doll (…you'll probably want to share it with her because she's just so darn sweet).Maggie has a medium-energy level - a perfect blend of active & relaxed. She likes to play & loves toys but is good at entertaining herself when you are busy. She is still young enough to enjoy having dog-approved chew items laying around & she looks forward to taking a running jump into the back yard & rolling around in the grass. She may also enjoy occasional walks to low-key/less busy areas, although busy/loud locations would probably overwhelm her peaceful personality. Most of the time, Maggie is busy working on her PhD in cuddling with humans. She sometimes tries to sneak in your lap if you're sitting on the ground &, when you pet her, she will often melt into the floor on her back so you can give her a belly rub. Occasionally, her tongue lolls out of the side of her mouth adding even more delightfulness to her silly smile. Maggie can sometimes be a bit shy when meeting new folks but she warms up quickly with a treat & a belly rub & then you have a new friend.
