Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Mercedes is a total sweetheart. Her name gives the impression of being expensive and exclusive – but that’s not our Mercedes at all! She believes in being all inclusive and has loved everyone she’s ever met. And, since our adoption fees are being waived and she comes already fully vetted, she doesn’t thinks he’s too expensive at all! She’s quite low maintenance actually. Mercedes is perfectly happy to keep herself entertained. She’s very curious and likes to smell all the smells and check out what’s going on around her. Being independent is no problem for her, but she enjoys attention too. She’ll happily sit calmly by your side for as long as you’ll pet her. She’s very treat motivated, and is happy to earn them. She already knows the commands “sit,” and “paw.” She’s very familiar with what a leash is, and will come to you from across the play yard when she sees you grab one. She also seems to have had some potty training practice. Mercedes has a medium energy level. She has enjoyed attending in shelter playgroups with other dogs, and would love to have a home with other dogs to hang out with.
