Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Benedict is a very sweet, calm, low energy boy. He loves to be pet, and when he gets very happy or excited he drools – which is adorable! Unfortunately none of these traits amount to him being photogenic. He’s really cute in person, it just doesn’t come across well in pictures. Benedict came into the shelter as a stray on 12/27/23. He was missing some fur and very itchy, and he seemed to have been chained up for a very long time judging by the marks that are still around his neck. Thanks to medical care from the staff here at FBCAS he’s looking and feeling so much better now!

He’s very excited when you first walk up to his kennel at the prospect of getting out of it. As soon as he starts walking on leash he remembers his manners and calms down. Loose in the play yard he’s happy to keep himself entertained if you’re not available. He loves being pet and staying by your side more than anything! With you he's calm and cuddly, but he gets more playful around other dogs. He enjoys playtime with other dogs. He's already potty and crate trained and is a very quiet boy in a home environment. He's learned to sit on command.
