Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
October was supposed to be National Pit Bull Awareness month…but that's when this guy came in looking more like he's been through a horror movie in honor of Halloween instead. Poor thing.

We've named him Clayton. We're not sure exactly what he's been through, other than he just came into the shelter as a stray from Hunt Ln in Brookshire. Poor Clayton is VERY underweight. He only weighed 37 lbs when he probably should weigh closer to 50 lbs. He was covered in fleas, and has some sores on his rear - they seem to be pressure sores from being on a hard surface for a long time.

Clayton's in great hands now. We've given him something to get rid of all those fleas and are setting up a nice and comfy place for him to rest and relax. He's understandably a bit timid at the moment. He just needs time to settle in and decompress until he realizes that he's safe here and his scary movie is over. He's a great boy who gets along well with other dogs and young children.
