My name is Kitty and I am a black domestic shorthair. I am a spayed female and I am 2 years and 10 months old. I am here because I was given up by my owner on 12/08/2023 due to the fact I have never gotten along with the other cats in the home. They were my family for 2 years and 7 months. I am used to staying inside during the day and inside during the night. I am a good kitty who uses the litterbox! I am a medium energy cat and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I do not have a history of trying to escape the home, but the shelter staff always recommends owners be mindful that I do not accidentally sneak out on their way out the door. I can be good with men and women. I do not do well with children, because they scare me. I cannot live with other cats and it is unknown if I can live with dogs. I love to play, but can be shy at first around new people or in new places.

All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and cats over 6 months of age are tested for heartworms. They are also tested for intestinal parasites and receive routine dewormings. Cats are vaccinated against distemper and rabies, receive a flea preventative, are spayed/neutered before adoption, and have a microchip. Adoption fees include the initial automated registration of the microchip at the time of adoption.
