Unlike a shelter or humane society, our dogs are not in one central location, but spread throughout many foster homes across the state. We realize that this makes it difficult to 'come meet our dogs,' but we believe the one-on-one care our dachshunds receive is well worth the inconvenience.

We will work with you to schedule a meet and greet with one or more of our dogs that are determined to be a good match for you and your family.

Heartworm Prevention is given on the 4th of each month

Tom along with his brother Jerry were surrendered to CTDR after their owner could no longer care for them. They have both just completed their vetting and are ready for their forever home. They are bonded and will need to be adopted together. If interested in giving these two boys their forever home, please complete an application at www.ctdr.org.
