Unlike a shelter or humane society, our dogs are not in one central location, but spread throughout many foster homes across the state. We realize that this makes it difficult to 'come meet our dogs,' but we believe the one-on-one care our dachshunds receive is well worth the inconvenience.

We will work with you to schedule a meet and greet with one or more of our dogs that are determined to be a good match for you and your family.

Heartworm Prevention is given on the 19th of each month

We are giving a very warm welcome to Miss Annie as she joins the CTDR Family.  This sweet 4 year old girl who was surrendered by her owners after she had gone down in her back and they did not feel they could provide for her.  Annie is resting comfortably at the Specialty Hospital as she waits for all of her diagnostic testing is done and she can go into surgery to repair her disc herniation.  After surgery, she will need at least 8 weeks of recovery and then she will need to be spayed and have an extensive dental as her mouth is in pretty bad shape.  Please check back on the website for further updates on this beautiful little girl.   Welcome to CTDR Annie!
